Unholy Manifestation: Chaos corruption can now have different effects. This is what the Chaos factions have in common There are similarities, but also glaring differences. This is evident not only in the number of units, but also in the way the factions play on the world map. But Chaos has many more facets that Warhammer 3 wants to emphasise. Up until now, Chaos has been more of a mindless Horde faction. Slaanesh, Nurgle, Tzeentch and of course Khorne. Of the six new factions, four belong to the Chaos gods. However, no one really knows yet what that might look like in practice. Possibly there will still be the Chaos Realm in some form in Total War: Warhammer 3. The Chaos World: This missing part of the world doesn’t exactly look twice as big as the world in the west. In the Total War forum, a user ( added the known game map to the area in the east). So we know what the countries in the east around Cathay look like. Of course, there are maps of the entire Warhammer world independent of the Total War games. Only a small impression of the world map was given to us in the announcement trailer. There is no official view of the whole map. After all, according to the developers, the map is supposed to be twice as big as the strategy map in Warhammer 2. But pretty sure there will be many other regions where there will be less snow. All we have seen of the new world map so far is a lone screenshot: This is all we’ve been able to see of the Warhammer 3 world from above so far. We haven’t been able to take a detailed look at the game map yet either. So the huge world map when you combine Warhammer 1, 2 and 3. So they are story events that do not exist in the Mortal Realms campaign. In addition, the new survival battles in the realm of chaos will appear without exception in the new campaign. After all, more than half of the playable races also consist of Chaos factions. What we do know is this: The war against chaos will take on an important role.

Good to have as auxilia or scout, but of limited worth or use as full, proper member of a professional warband. Yeah, they have some gimmicks, but they're not powerful enough to reach main WoC's minimal requirement for the job, so to speak.

Men too young/old to fight as full time Chaos Warriors? Local monsters that will get overheated to death if traveling too far away from home? Outdated creatures Gods no longer care about? Norsca get that covered. CA's conception of Norsca in TW seems to be an auxiliary militia/mercenary to the main WoC, which is basically true to TT lore. That's why on principle WoC should get ALL Norscan units, because it is so on TT.

They're simply a subfaction within WoC, all canon Norscan units are listed in WoC army book the three forge world models (Fimir, Mammoth and Skin Wolves) are advertised and sold as WoC supplementary units both Wulfrik and Throgg are named characters in WoC army book. Norscans are not independent faction with their own army book.
I'm not saying they're not actually worshipping THE dark gods, but there must be a reason why WoC and Norscans name their gods differently, not just from a lore perspective, but from gameplay perspective, too.īut I now remember they have a Chaos Warshrine in their roster, bah. The 4 names chosen ont he Page are the Norscan names/titles/whatever for Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle and Slaanesh the WH FB has a redirect from "Dark Gods" to Chaos Gods Dark Gods is a "euphemism" for Chaos Gods in Warhammer iirc. They are explicetly named "Dark Gods" on the Steam Store page. Worshipping Chaos could give you the benefit of immunity to the corruption, while staying true to your roots could boost trade or something. Perhaps there are indeed two ways to play the faction: Pure Norsca or Chaos Norsca, which could be easily done with technologies. The question about whether they spread or take damage in Chaos corrupted regions is legit. The blog entry and the trailer both seem to avoid their direct association with Chaos. If that does not spread the corruption of chaos I do not know what it does.
Man, the Norscan destroy and plunder cities, sacrifice people and then build sanctuaries to their gods.
I would think chaos corruption should be kept as a unique ability of beastmen and WoC. So WoC are better used as vassals of corruption than the Norsemen. Norscans are more human, but devote Chaos warriors are less so. If they cause corruption? I don't think so, I would hope not. Well Norsca is riddled with corruption and they move around fine. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.846 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
